Martha, at the first hospital, the TPA (the shot they administered) couldn't break up the clot in my brain. It was too large. So they put me in an ambulance to the second hospital where they were doing the thrombectomy procedure. They had only been doing it for TWO YEARS!! Now, many hospitals do thrombectomies.
